Linkin Park is a nu metal and alternative rock band from Agoura Hills, California, in the United States. They had several times renamed, including Xero, Hybrid Theory, until the name of Linkin Park until now. The name "Linkin Park" itself is a play on behalf of a park in Los Angeles, Lincoln Park.

Before Chester Bennington became vocalist of Linkin Park, Mark Wakefield first became his vocalist. However, he left Linkin Park to look for another project (becoming manager of the band Taproot) - then using the name Hybrid Theory to become manager of the Taproot music group. Bassist Dave Farrell aka "Phoenix" also came out briefly from Linkin Park to take a tour with his old band, Tasty Snax. While four other personnel Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, and Rob Bourdon have always survived in Linkin Park since the beginning of its formation.
