am also fond of collecting links to other people's projects, at their creativity and deriving inspiration from them.

Are you thinking of building a special gift for your kid? I would like to share some of my favorite projects! Some of them, like the one involving wooden blocks, are very simple and do not require the use of any tools, and some, like full-sized dollhouses, will take a few evenings to finish, but will leave you with an heirloom-quality Gift.

We are not following any particular educational philosophy in our house, but I have always been interested in reading about different alternative approaches, and it is worth mentioning that the wood has its place in many of them.
