Clash Royale: Summer Update with Big Changes & More

Here's what you need to know about each update to the current version of Clash Royale as it's released from Supercell. It’s time to express yourself with the newest 3.2872.2 update released on June 27.

WHAT ARE BATTLE BANNERS?

Battle Banners are coming to Clash Royale. They allow you to customize your profile, to show the world who you are and what you have achieved. Your Battle Banner is shown before every battle, and everyone can see it.

Battle Banners have different parts: Decorations, Frames, and Badges! The Decoration goes at the front. The frame goes at the back. The badges are displayed at the bottom. Simple!

You can add three Badges to your Battle Banner, and showcase the achievements you’re proud of. Like your top ladder finish, your 50 Grand Challenge wins, or your maxed Elite Barbarians Mastery Badge.

ABOUT THE BANNER BOX

You can get those cool Banner Decorations and Frames in the Banner Box! New Decorations and Frames are available in the Banner Box each season. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s available at launch.

By collecting 100 banner tokens you can open the mythical Banner Box and collect one of the items that are inside. Player are guaranteed to unlock a new item every time when open the Banner Box, and the banner tokens are available in Special Challenges, and as rewards in the third set of Mastery tasks. All players will receive 100 Banner Tokens when the update drops, along with six Battle Banner items, for free! Player Profile Banner another great feature coming with this summer update.

BADGES ON PLAYER PROFILE

The biggest change is the Badges section: you’ll be able to choose eight badges you can showcase. Alongside that, we have new Achievement Badges in this update. Ten cards are getting their third set of Mastery Tasks.

Duels are now available outside of Clan Wars. To make it easier for players to Duel, you’ll now be able to create Duel decks in your Collection tab. Duels come in two types. The first one is the Open Duel, which is the same type as before. The second one is the new Ban Pick (Duel), in which players ban two of their opponent’s decks, then battle with one of the remaining two decks. This mode is a single battle, no best-of-three. We hope you’ll enjoy Duels with your friends or Clan members, whether it be Open Duels, or the Ban Pick version.

The Trader is now in the shop. You can reroll both sides for Gems as many times as you want, and trade as many cards as you want. The only limitation is how many Trade Tokens you have. The Developer added a volume slider to the Settings! Finally! Now, you can listen to the music while still hearing game sounds.

As always, there are a lot of other bug fixes, quality of life changes, and other improvements in this update.

Fixed an issue with the name change dialog that could potentially cause a disconnect
Fix for some special characters not being displayed correctly

Fix for Draft choices leading to cards that were outside of the specified Draft sets
Fix for Private Tournament creation 'randomly' failing
Fix for the magical Deck Wizard trying to assign more than one Champion to a deck
Fix for the iOS native copy option removing the URL from the "invite to clan" message
Fix for the deck builder behaving erratically if the user switched decks in the middle of editing
Fix for personal best scores displaying incorrectly on some Player Profiles
Fix for players sometimes being awarded a chest that is not from their Arena
Fix for a deck showing incorrectly when skipping past the 'Pick' phase in a Draft replay
Star levels are now hidden when viewing card info screens from the Clan UI
Removed the ability to upgrade your own cards when viewing a Clanmate's cards
Removed Trophy values from the spectator view
Removed the ability to tap on the 'Clan' button in the Player Profile of a player who does not belong to a Clan
Implemented a change to Legendary chests when the player has not yet reached an Arena that unlocks Legendary cards
Added a number of Challenge events to the list of modes that can level up Badges
Numerous UI improvements (making things look pretty)
Various new loading screen tips have been added
