Mobile Legends 1.7.62 Update Patch Notes

Two weeks ago, the original server of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang received an update (1.7.58). Now it is time for MOONTON Games to introduce a new hero - Novaria in the Advanced Server with Patch 1.7.62 Update! In addition, there will be some changes made to existing heroes and battlefields as part of this patch release too; so let's take a closer look at what these updates bring us!

In Season 28, a new Mythic rank will be introduced along with an upgraded system for earning points. The Placement Match experience has been improved and there are now logos to represent the different ranks plus players can vote on exclusive skins only available at certain levels of Mythic Rank.
New Hero: Novaria
Novaria is the 120th hero to join MLBB in their latest patch update. She's a long-range mage with powerful attack capabilities and wide area damage, making her an effective sniper on the battlefield. Her abilities allow her to cast skills from afar which makes it hard for enemies to counterattack or escape unscathed!
Abilities
Passive – Star Trail (Damage)
Novaria's passive ability strengthens her Skill 2, making it so that enemies who are struck by the Astral Sphere after being marked with an orb sign will suffer Magic damage equal to 15% of their maximum HP.
Skill 1 – Astral Meteor (Slow, Area of Effect)
Novaria's first skill is straightforward - it will call down meteors in a specific area, dealing an amount of magic damage that increases with each level and slowing the enemies by 20%.
Novaria's meteor shower is similar to Yve's second skill, but it does more damage to minions. It will cause 50 (+15% Total Magic Damage)/55/60/65/70 or 75 magic damage and slow the enemy down by 10%, with a maximum of 60%.
Skill 2 – Astral Recall (Burst, Buff)
Novaria has a very special ability, which enables her to act as a sniper. It involves two stages: firstly she summons an orb near her and then can shoot it in any direction at enemies whilst being able to pass through walls. This is really useful for Novaria because of the advantage it gives her over opponents.
Mage's first attack will cause between 150-300 magic damage, depending on her Total Magic Power. For the second phase, when she launches a sphere at enemies it deals 300 - 550 magic damage and an extra 200% based on how long it travels before hitting them. The longer time taken to reach its target means more power behind the strike.
Ultimate Skill 3 – Astral Echo (Buff)
Nova's skill has a long-lasting effect. She fires Astral Chains in the chosen direction, which damages enemies with 200 (+30% Total Magic Power)/250/300 magic damage and reveals nearby enemy positions while increasing their hitbox by 50%. If used near her tower, it will expand its shooting range so that it can automatically target the foe.
Mobile Legends Patch 1.7.62 Update: Hero Adjustments
Freya (Buffed)
Freya is a powerful hero, however, her playstyle resembles that of other characters which depends heavily on basic attacks. To make Freya more unique and exciting to play, developers are exploring the idea of giving her greater combo potential - potentially even infinite combos in certain situations. Adjustments will be made if needed as they continue to monitor how this affects overall game balance.
Skill 1 (↓)
Skill 1 no longer needs Sacred Orbs to be improved and it's free.
Skill 2 (↑)
Airborne requires two fewer casts.
Knocking enemies Airborne no longer causes the cooldown to activate; instead, it starts after not using this ability for a period of time.
Joy (~)
The developers have decided to go back on their changes for Joy's movement speed, as it changed the way she played too much. However, they still think that her damaged pacing should be sped up.
Passive (↑)
Increased mobility again.
Skill 2 (↓)
The speed boost is gone.
Ultimate (↓)
Movement speed not increased.
Revamped Minsitthar (~)
Skill 2 should be easier to use, but it will have a bit less impact in team fights.
Skill 2 (↑)
Decreased backswing for Basic Attacks while active.
Ultimate (↓)
The time it takes for enemies to be damaged by this ability was reduced from 8 seconds to 5, but they usually don't stay in the target area that long anyway.
Layla (↓)
We didn't realize how powerful Layla would become with increased mobility and crowd control, so we're slightly reducing her damage output and ability to affect the flow of battle.
Passive (↓)
Damage increase reduced to 130%.
Skill 2 (↓)
Reduce cooldown to 8s.

Equipment
Necklace of Durance (Buffed)
Its construction is altered to accommodate certain wizards and provide assistance.
New Passive (↑)
Boon = Elegant Gem's equal.
Build Path
Mystic Necklace with Durance's powers changed.
Dominance Ice (Buffed)
Developers desire the equipment to be more effective against heroes with fast attack rates.
Unique Passive – Arctic Cold (Buffed)
Its attack speed is reduced after taking into account all bonuses.
Clock of Destiny (↓)
Burst damage mages have less survivability now.
Attributes (↓)
HP decreased by 125
Unique Passive – Time (↓)
20 HP per stack instead of 25.
Ice Queen Wand (Buffed)
Mages can now survive more hits due to developers.
Attributes (↑)
- New: 300 HP
- Removed: 150 Mana
Thunder Belt (Buffed)
We're lowering the cost of Thunder Belt and increasing its Mana Regen, so it's more affordable for tanks.
Cost (↓)
Two thousand.

Mana regen increased to 10.
Magic Blade (Buffed)
Developers want the Magic Blade to specialize in certain builds.

- Physical Attack: 40 >> 25
- Magic Defense: 24 >> 40
Rose Gold Meteor (Buffed)
Developers want to make Rose Gold Meteor stronger late in the game.
Attributes (↑)
- Physical Attack: 60 >> 50
- Magic Defense: 30 >> 40
- Physical Lifesteal: 5% >> 10%
Build Path (~)
Blade plus Dagger is better than Blade plus Mallet.
Attack Effect Display
Players can now check how much Attack Effects are affecting each of their hero's skills. For example, Miya’s Moonlight Shadow passive and Skill 1 gain an additional 30% damage from Attack Effects.
Battle Setup System
- Developers can create 3 Preset Setups for each hero, including equipment, Emblems, and Battle Spells.
- Pro Builds now also contain equipment, medal, and Battle Spell setups.
- Developers can choose to copy an entire pro build or to only use its Emblem or equipment setup.
- Developers can customize the names of your setups and add tags.
Emblem Attributes
The developers are looking to make a shift in their design approach when it comes to initial attributes, which may result in further modifications. This time around they will focus on making sure the Emblems have an even amount of strength and this change is based off what has been outlined.
- Increase the value of Regen attributes.
- Restrict how much the most powerful attributes can be stacked.
- We want our attributes to be distinct, yet still beneficial for a large number of heroes. Hence we modified the Support Emblem accordingly.

New Functions and events
Ranked games can be played until February 24th, 2023 (Server Time) and then Season 28 will start the next day. Players who play Ranked are eligible to receive rewards including Lapu-Lapu's S28 Skin "Son of the Wild" with an Avatar Border being released at a later date. To upgrade this skin tag players must complete certain tasks during the season.
