Spider-Man: No Way Home, the latest film installment of the Spider-Man superhero from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, finally has a streaming release date in Spain. So much so that it has been announced that the Movistar+ platform will make the film starring Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield available to its customers on July 8, 2022. And there are many who were waiting for an opportunity like this to see the live- action film that opens the doors to the Spiderverse; now a first date and platform in our country have been confirmed.
Waiting for more platforms and.... Disney+?
In the absence of confirmation of the arrival of Spider-Man: No Way Home to Disney+ -although it will arrive sooner rather than later, like the rest of the Spider-Man movies-, we finally have a first platform that will offer the movie via streaming, as happened in its day with other Spider-Man movies, which were released through different platforms.
All because Sony does not have its own streaming platform and reaches different agreements with each distributor to release its films in the home format. Even so, Spider-Man: No Way Home will have taken much longer than other films to arrive on streaming; Don’t forget that The Batman -like the rest of Warner Bros. films-, arrived on streaming just 45 days after its theatrical release.
On the other hand, Spider-Man: No Way Home will return to theaters via re-release in a new extended version titled Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version, with more previously unreleased footage focusing on more lighthearted scenes, on September 2, 2022, currently only in the United States and Canada.
