Houston is proud to partner with the United States Olympic Committee and USA Weightlifting to host the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, which will be held in the United States for the first time in over 40 years.

For ten exciting days and nights, an estimated 900 competitors from over 188 affiliated National Federations from all five Olympic continents are expected to participate in this International Olympic Committee sanctioned qualifying event for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic Games.
