This is especially true with communication as if you were from Spain visiting Germany you might get along better speaking German than demanding the residents speak Spanish. The hidden languages are equally important.

For me the best illustration of the importance of learning the communication style of another is from the early fifties when Americans were traveling abroad. Many picked up the term Ugly Americans after the title of a novel by William Lederer. The concept was simple. The label applied to their behaviors rather than any physical appearance. The same occurs with the 4 hidden languages. Most of us only speak one hidden language. What would happen if you spoke all four?
