AccuSpeed is a tool to assist law enforcement in enforcing posted speed limits. AccuSpeed can be used in areas where it may not be feasible to use radar, such as high traffic areas. AccuSpeed is easy to use. Simply measure the distance between two fixed points in the roadway and enter that distance (in feet) into the AccuSpeed "distance" box. When the potential traffic violator reaches the first point, begin the timer by clicking "start". When the potential violator reaches the second point, stop the timer by clicking "stop". AccuSpeed calculates the speed based on the time and distance and displays it on the screen.
