About the author of the book Al-Shamail Al-Muhammadiyah by al-Tirmidhi

It was written by Imam Muhammad ibn Isa al-Tirmidhi, one of the great imams who are interested in the jurisprudence of the hadiths of the prophet and Sunni jurisprudence, he is one of the traveling imams who seek knowledge, even in China, this imam also issued the book of the mosque, which is known as Sunan al-Tirmidhi. This writer is one of the imams who are interested in memorizing hadiths, so he moved from his birthplace to Khorasan until he arrived in Iraq, and then he left for the Hejaz all this in order to learn the science of hadiths, he was one of the imams who agree on the hadiths of Bukhari, but after all these trips about researching the hadiths of the prophet he became a blind person. This imam was born in 824 ad in the city of tirmidh, and he also died in 279 in the same town, after a long journey of knowledge, effort and hardship to collect the contents of this book, and some people have talked about him that he was blind from a young age, but this is not true because he became blind in his old age after arriving from his journey.
