The feet are the most the most beautiful part of a woman's body. This fact is often overshadowed by modern media, which highlights the faces and torso of women, and little else. But throughout history, the delicate form of women's feet has been paid respect and attention.

In ancient China, it was a big problem that women have small, smooth "moon-shaped" legs (that is, with deep insteps) that a whole custom is dedicated to leg-binding is developed. This is very painful for women, but the standards for the beautiful legs of the time were very helpful in setting the standard of overall attractiveness; women with small feet are considered noble and aristocratic.
