Audio Inye Aka

This product is a the audio version of the Scripture Union daily devotional in Igbo language called Inye Aka. The product comes in three editions in a year. The first edition which covers January to April is captioned Easter Edition. May to August is captioned Pentecost Edition, while the September to December is captioned Advent Edition.

The innovative product is designed to meet specific needs of Igbo speaking Christians in any part of the country or in diaspora who may understand the language but are not literate in it enough to read Inye Aka for themselves. This product, therefore, will do the following for such persons:

1. It will afford teaming Igbo speaking Christians opportunity to listen to and read the bible and the commentary in their language.

2. It will help those who cannot read Igbo language but can understand it to also enjoy devotion in their language.

3. It will also help those with limited proficiency in reading and understanding the language, to improve their proficiencies with time, by consistent use of this product.

4. The socio-cultural value of this product is that it casts this indigenous language on a stone, thus sustaining it and pushing back the threat of extinction. This is achieved as the people‘s literacy in this language is enhanced.
