AudioProfilesSwitcher allows you to create profiles with sound and vibrate settings and apply them on a schedule.

When you switch on a schedule it is possible to create lists of exceptions, contacts from address book and select a sound for each profile.

This will avoid unnecessary calls, such as at night. On the other hand, you can add people whose calls are important to you at any time of day and night in the "white" list.
