Who we are

The AX Fund was established in 2006 to build on the Firm’s longstanding commitment to charitable giving. The AX Fund focuses on social mobility in under-served communities and has developed active partnerships with charities in countries where our team are based. The AX Fund aims to make a meaningful difference in the communities where we work and live, and supports firm-wide volunteering initiatives as well as the personal charitable activities of the AX Fund team worldwide.

AX Fund is managed by parent company Apax Partners, which has been in operation since the 1970s.

In more recent years, the firm has added synergistic strategies, subsequently launching the Apax Mid-market Israel Opportunities Fund, Apax Global Alpha, which was listed on the Main Market of the LSE in 2015, and the Apax Digital Fund, the firm’s first dedicated Digital fund focused on minority and majority growth tech equity investments.

For nearly 50 years Apax has worked to go beyond traditional private equity in building businesses.
