Blue Moat is a unique home security and automation device created by G2W Systems. It allows users to watch over their door, talk to visitors, open the door, watch videos recorded by motion capture and turn on a light, all of this through their smartphones! Blue Moat creates its own WiFi signal and hence works in all homes whether it has internet or not. The WiFi reaches a distance of 35-40 feet and the range can be extended with repeaters of WiFi extenders.

The app provides two types of utility to users:

1. Security: The peephole on doors are rather ineffective a way to know who the visitor is when the doorbell rings. Dust settles in them over time rendering any view obstructed. Kids or short people's eyes cant reach the peephole. Any person hiding to the side of the peephole is not visible. Blue Moat has the unique feature of recording videos on motion capture. There are cameras and solutions available in the market that record videos and some that are motion triggered as well. However, the memory available fills up and need to be taken out and replaced. Blue Moat automatically deletes videos after a couple of days or a week or any predetermined period as per user requirement.

2. Convenience: Since a user could be in any of the rooms of their home or on the floor above when the doorbell rings, they might find it inconvenient to go to the door. They could be unwell, resting in their bed or for myriad reasons it could be an inconvenience to go to the door. With the help of Blue Moat app they can simply pick up their phone, check out the visitor, talk to him if required and open the door. This can be a useful tool for people along in their home and especially if their mobility is limited.

Blue Moat is an IOT device. Users can connect Blue Moat with their internet WiFi to single a single WiFi signal and access some of its features from anywhere in the world. It creates a ring of security protecting users and promotes their well-being.
