Business Shift Worker

Business manager can message when there is a need to fill a shift in emergency.

Business Shift Worker is an application that allows users, specifically business shift managers in charge of employee schedules, to send out a mass message to enlist the necessary individuals to fill a shift in an emergency. This application can be used by the person in charge of filling shifts in any kind of business to help find one person or multiple people to fill a shift in an emergency. He or she is able to send a message to all employees of the business and to anyone else s/he thinks is appropriate to fill the shift and is then able to assess the availability of all these individuals and potentially fill the shift needed.

This application is functional for all types of businesses; ranging from stores, retails, restaurants, offices, factories, hospitals, universities....

To use the Business Shift Worker App:

Users add the appropriate contacts (all individuals that could potentially fill the shift for the job) to this app through their phone's contact list.

Users then fill out the following fields according to their specific requirements:

1. Type of worker

2. Shift time/hours (From-To)

3. Date of shift

4. Location Address of Shift

5. Shift Manager Name

Users can then fill out optional fields at the discretion of the shift manager/employer as he or she deems appropriate or relevant to their need:

1. Country

2. Language

3. Type of Business

4. Business URL

Users then enter the phone number at which they wish to be contacted.

Users press ‘send message’ at the bottom of the screen and the following message is sent to all the people on the user’s contact list:

Message: We need __(type of worker)__ from __(specific shift hours)__ on __(date of shift)__at __(location of shift)__. If you are available, please respond immediately at: __(phone number of user-shift manager)__. Please provide your name, phone number, and skills.

Each time the user is ready to send a new message for new circumstance, they have the option of editing their contact list so it is optimized to that situation’s need.

This application is beneficial in any circumstance where there is a need to fill a shift in an emergency.

This application can also help in generating employment for those who have the necessary skills for a job but are not necessarily employed currently. By responding to a need, individuals are able to generate employment and experience.

Note: In the future, this app will support multiple languages
