Ceiling Fan Balancer

Remove the wobble from that ceiling fan using your phone's camera!

Remove the wobble from that ceiling fan! Using newspaper, tape, and a marker, dynamically balance your ceiling fan using your phone's camera. A ceiling fan balancing kit is also recommended for proper clips and weights. This home improvement app is much quicker and easier to use than guessing by trial and error which blade and where to place balancing weights.

Preparation:

• Clean fan.

• Tighten all screws.

• Check blade height & metal blade holders.

Instructions:

• Place masking tape with a large dot on the center of the fan.

• Wrap green or blue tissue paper or newspaper around one blade.

• Hold your phone directly below the fan and record the fan wobble.

Wobble Strength

• Within 5 seconds, the app will determine the wobble strength.

• Using this, add & move clips to find the blade which wobbles least.

Dynamic Balancer

• Place a clip on each blade and record the wobble strength for each blade.

• App will show which blade and where to place weights to remove the wobble.

Minimum Requirements:

• Android 6.0 Marshmallow

• Device with full camera capability (most devices released after Oct 2015 are capable)
