Various office books and hymns of the Roman, Mozarabic, Ambrosian, Gallican, Greek, Coptic, Armenian, and Syriac rites are used to elucidate the texts. Also the father's of the church are cited, such as Ven. Bede, St. Thomas Aquinas and Eusebius of Caesarea.
