Desabhimani is a Malayalam newspaper and the organ of the Kerala State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Started as a weekly in Kozhikode on September 6, 1942 and converted to a daily in 1946. According to the National Readership Survey of 1995, Desabhimani was the third largest newspaper in Kerala.At present, E.P. Jayarajan, CPI(M) central committee member, the General Manager and V. V. Dakshinamoorthi, secretariat member of the CPI(M) is the Chief Editor of the paper .
