Doa Novena

Aplikasi ini bertujuan untuk membantu dan membimbing kita untuk berdoa Novena.

Kata Novena adalah bentuk feminim dari kata bahasa Latin abad Pertengahan, "novenus" (ke-sembilan), yang merupakan angka ordinal dari "novem" (sembilan).

Dalam Gereja Katolik, sebuah novena adalah sebuah devosi yang terdiri atas doa-doa yang diucapkan (biasanya) selama sembilan hari berturut-turut, memohon terkabulnya rahmat khusus.

The practice of novenas itself comes from the Gospel. After Jesus ascended to heaven, he commanded his disciples to pray with indoor and devote themselves entirely to prayer performed regularly (Acts 1:14). The disciples, Mary, and other followers of Jesus prayed for nine consecutive days, ended when the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles at Pentecost.

Although at first novena is a devotion that is performed by members of the Catholic Church, this prayer has spread to the Orthodox Church, the Anglican Church and even some Lutheran Church.
