À propos de Earth Solar System

The Earth Solar System Game is addictive and will challenge your memory.

The Earth Solar System Game is a score kept matching game, featuring various objects of Earth's solar system. This game is free and challenges the memory. Score is kept allowing you to try and do better each time.

Another thrilling feature to the Earth Solar System Game that makes it even more awesome then just a matching game - you must find the icons that match in some way! When you make a linked match the solar system game for kids & adults will show the link. You also get some help along the way.

Solar System: Planets (Definition ˑ Planetary habitability ˑ Terrestrial planets ˑ Gas giants ˑ Rings) ˑ Dwarf planets (Plutoid) ˑ Moons ˑ Exploration ˑ Colonization ˑ Discovery timeline Solar System objects more massive than 1021 kilograms (one yottagram ) are known or expected to be approximately spherical. Astronomical bodies relax into rounded shapes (ellipsoids), achieving hydrostatic equilibrium, when the gravity of their mass is sufficient to overcome the structural strength of their material. Objects made of ice become round more easily than those made of rock, and many icy objects are spheroidal at far lower sizes. The cutoff boundary for roundness is somewhere between 10060;km and 20060;km in radius.

Solar System models, especially mechanical models, called orreries, that illustrate the relative positions and motions of the planets and moons in the Solar System have been built for centuries. While they often showed relative sizes, these models were usually not built to scale. The enormous ratio of interplanetary distances to planetary diameters makes constructing a scale model of the Solar System a challenging task. As one example of the difficulty, the distance between the Earth and the Sun is almost 12,000 times the diameter of the Earth.

The Solar System planets consists of celestial objects formed from the collapse of a giant molecular cloud approximately 6 billion years ago. The four smaller inner planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, also called the terrestrial planets are primarily composed of rock and metal. The four outer planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, also called the gas planets are composed largely of hydrogen and helium and are far more massive than the terrestrials.

The Solar System is also home to two main belts of small bodies. The asteroid belt, which lies between Mars and Jupiter, is similar to the terrestrial planets as it is composed mainly of rock and metal. The Kuiper belt, which lies beyond Neptune's orbit, is composed mostly of ices such as water, ammonia and methane. Within these belts, five objects Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake and Eris are large enough to be termed dwarf planets. The hypothetical Oort cloud, which acts as the source for long period comets, may also exist at a distance roughly a thousand times beyond these regions.

The solar system comprises two distinct solar regions: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars form part of the inner solar system, while Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune form part of the outer solar system. the planets in the inner solar system, also known as the rocky planets are thought to have been condense from heavier elements and are composed principally of rock and metal, while the outer planets, two of which are known as the gas giants (Jupiter and Saturn) are composed of hydrogen and helium; the outermost planets (Uranus and Neptune) are made of ice water, methane, and ammonia. therefore, they are referred as the ice giants.
