Known issues:
The compass may act erratic during downloads, due to magnetic interference from the Wifi, GSM or Bluetooth radios. For best results, turn them off, and stand clear of magnetic interference and metallic objects.
The accuracy of the magnetic sensor may vary on different devices, particularly when the device is held at certain angles. Some suggest rotating and waving the device in a figure-8, to help the magnetic sensor re-calibrate itself.
