Paytag Fastag Helps To Zip Past Tolls While Passing Easy Access To Tollgate

FASTag is an electronic toll collection system operated by the Road and Highways Ministry. FASTag is a reloadable tag that allows toll charges to be automatically deducted and allows you to pass the toll plaza without stopping for the cash transaction.

FASTag is linked to a prepaid account that is deducted from the applicable toll amount. The tag uses technology for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and is attached to the windscreen of the vehicle after the tag account is active.

A vehicle can use any lane at toll places by making cash payments. But the RFID will only work in the lanes of the FASTag. Vehicles without a valid FASTag will be charged twice the applicable toll amount in cash. FASTag is currently operating at 450 + toll locations across national roads.. More toll plazas will be brought under the FASTag program in the future.

By using this tab users can stay updated about the nearest hospitals, restaurants, police stations, toll plazas, etc. from their location on the highway. Users can select multiple roadside options simultaneously. All events updated through crowd-sourcing (eg accident hotspots, road closures, congestion hotspots) will also be shown, along with regular voice updates.
