The RAPIDPoint® 500 system provides advanced blood gas testing with trusted technology that is easy to use at the point of care. We realized that workforce productivity and clinical operations could be improved by reducing the need to manually transfer results. Gasapp makes the results of the RAPIDPoint 500 available on mobile devices and a fixed screen in the ICU or OR. This allows us to reduce unwanted variations across the clinical pathway. In addition, while the RAPIDComm Data Management System is used by the laboratory or point of care coordinator, this app can now get other care providers involved in the patient’s continuum of care.

The result becomes available from the moment the patient has been tested. The end-user wins time and eliminates waste in the process which reduces costs without adverse impacts to outcomes. The chance of human error is reduced and trends become visible in clear charts and lists.
