Help astronomers measure solar activity thanks to GLORIA

GLORIA is an European project for the creation of a global network of robotic telescopes. Join and help astronomers understand the mysteries of the Universe. Thanks to your help, we will be able to measure solar activity.

The app "GLORIA Solar Activity" lets you mark and count sunspots groups in images of the Sun, taken with several of the GLORIA network telescopes, day by day. First mark a group, after count the number of individual sunspots. It is very important to mark all sunspot groups on solar surface - the total number of sunspots determines the Wolf Number related with solar activity, and it's very important for solar research.

The Sun is currently at the maximum of its 11 year cycle so your help is crucial to understand sun evolution. Just select a date to get sun images for that day, and start contributing!
