It's time to claim your stake in a worldwide turf war! Let's see how with just a few dollars and your trusty phone you can take over the world! GPS Tycoon combines elements of the old board game of RISK, Geocaching and even a touch of turn-based strategy games like Civilization.

The object of the game is simple. He who has the most money wins. And the engine of your wealth will be the ground you walk on every day. The world map has been turned into a massive grid centered around your location. When you buy the tile that is in your position it will immediately begin generating an hourly profit. As you begin to acquire a larger share of the map in your area you will start to draw the attention of your neighbors. And not one of them is your friend! They will come into your neck of the woods and buy your tiles which not only takes away an income stream but potentially loses your real estate property before you had a chance to recoup your investment via the hourly payouts. Therefore, the winning strategy is the one that allows you to buy the tiles that your opponents can’t easily get to. Even though it feels great to be at the top you might find that turf wars between close neighbors can be ruinously expensive so clever use of resources and perhaps even a bit of diplomacy will ultimately be necessary tools in your quest to becoming a real land tycoon!

Speaking of resources, you will soon find that a portion of the tiles you buy come with unexpected bonuses. These come in three forms. First, you may find a cache of money or another valuable resource that will be instantly added to your account. You could also find a “powerup” unit that allows you to do any of several useful tasks and which can be deployed at the time and location of your choosing. Finally, you may discover a tile that has a natural resource. Resources not only come with an hourly payout of their own but can be processed into even more valuable products which you can then in turn stockpile to create weapons with which to harass your opponents and accelerate your rise to the top of the charts!
