GRACE the Health Studio is a boutique fitness studio that specializes in health and movement coaching. Health is sometimes defined as the state of being free from illness or injury, and we believe that the key to this is through finding balance. This balance is not just limited to physical balance, but includes emotional, mental and spiritual balance as well. We believe that in order to achieve a state of balance one must shed what no longer serves him or her—whether it be concepts, people or things, inactivity or over-activity, too much junk food or simply not enough nutrition, stagnation or agitation, or anything else that weighs you down. Through the process of obtaining and maintaining balance one inevitably clears the mind and body of clutter and distractions, and ultimately finds a state of simplicity, a buoyancy, and a state of serenity. We invite you to join us here, living gracefully through a clear mind and body.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to educate and support individuals in their personal journey toward optimal health. Just as the notion of optimal health holds a different meaning for each individual, there are as many different ways to achieve it. No single approach will work for everyone. For this reason, we offer a variety of movement based group classes as well as private sessions for yoga, Pilates, and health coaching, and we continue to work on ways of bringing additional means of accommodation and convenience. We welcome you into our GRACE community. Whether you need a quick and uplifting Express class in the middle of your day, relaxing yin yoga to help you unwind, private sessions on the Reformer to address core concerns, or one-on-one health coaching programs to revamp your life, we hope that you take what you need from GRACE and find a community of support.

THE CAIRN

We believe that human beings are inherently whole—that we are complete even in times of distress or disease. Our bodies carry innate intelligence to heal and to restore ourselves to a state of balance if just given the opportunity. Too often, we continue to suffer through imbalances, injuries and illnesses because our lives as they currently exist, simply don’t allow for such an opportunity. We want GRACE to beacon this idea of balance within wholeness, and have designed our logo accordingly. As a symbol, the circle is whole and endless, yet GRACE’s circle is incomplete, just as our journey through life is not yet complete. The cairn, a manmade rock structure, is an indication to travelers that they are on the right path. So too, we hope GRACE can be a marker for you—a sign of welcome, a sign of support, and a sign that you can listen to whatever it was that brought you here. The precariously stacked stones convey the poise and posture that we strive to implement in our unpredictable lives, and the flowers are a reminder that there is beauty in this delicate balance—in a word, grace.
