Greek Name Days

Shows the Greek Name Day Calendar or Eortologio for the Next 3 Days and More!

The Greek Name Days app lets you see the Greek Orthodox name day calendar for today, tomorrow and the day after in two languages - English and Greek. This is the app to have installed on your Android device if wishing Happy Name Day to your Greek friends or relatives is something you do not want to miss. This handy app and light-weight app offers much more than Greek name days.

There are 4 tabs along the top menu for ease of navigation. They are Home, News, Puzzle and Contact. A brief description follows...

Home:

This tab brings you on a main menu where you are given the following options: Name Days, Eortologio, Greek News, Puzzle and Contact us. Note that the bottom three options are also tabs. Clicking on Name Days will show you the Greek name day calendar for today, tomorrow and the day after in English. Clicking on Eortologio will do the same, however, in the Greek language.

News:

Clicking this tab, or the Greek News button on the main menu, will take you to a page where the latest headlines concerning Greece and the world are presented. Each story appears as a thumbnail and a title. Clicking on the news item will take you to the full story.

Puzzle:

This tab, or the 4th button from the top on the main menu, leads to a number sliding puzzle. This is a perfect game for when you have free time and your mind is up for a challenge. The game board contains 15 numbered tiles, from 1 to 15, and a space. When you click Start, the tiles change their order. Your task is to move tiles into the empty space, strategically, until you re-establish the numerical order of the tiles. This number sliding puzzle can be a great learning tool for a toddler or preschooler who is learning counting. Sliding puzzles stimulate both sides of the brain and sharpen memory and planning ahead.
