This is where Group Connect comes in. Group Connect gives you the power to connect, the freedom to explore and the courage to take the path less travelled. Group Connect is a location-based service which allows users to connect, communicate, coordinate and share their location with fellow members on a private, secure platform. You can see members of your group in real time on your personal, private, interactive map.

Features Include:

Instant Messaging: Group Connect Messaging is a private and secure instant messaging service that allows users to chat, send media and share GPS coordinates with other Group Connect members.

Meeting Points: Trying to find your group, friends or family members in a busy, loud and congested area can be a huge challenge. Group Connect helps you avoid this stress by allowing users to set up physical meeting points by dropping a pin on the interactive map and setting meeting reminders. Choosing a location is easy as the app uses Google places API capabilities. In addition, you can use the short-cut feature to quickly share your position which will instantly provide GPS coordinates as well as directions and the time needed to get there.

Warning Points: Safety and security when you’re travelling are always a major concern. That’s why we’ve developed the Warning Points feature to provide a platform that gives fellow group members the power to collaborate and share safety and security tips. Warning points are pins that are dropped to visually show others dangerous areas that group members would like to warn others about.

Perimeters: If you are a family group or close bunch of friends who don’t want to become separated from each other while on the move or at a particular area (e.g. the beach), Perimeters is a Group Connect feature that can help by warning your group members that someone in the group has crossed the perimeter set.

SOS Alert: This safety and security feature allows a Group Connect user to send a distress call to all other users in the group. Group members will be alerted and shown the physical location of the person in distress and guided there.
