Growth and Empowerment Measure - Short Form

The Growth and Empowerment Measure (GEM; (Haswell, Kavanagh, Tsey, Reilly, Cadet-James, Laiberte, Wilson & Doran,2010) is a 26 item self-report measure of psychological and social empowerment within an Australian Indigenous context for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

The GEM measure was created by the Collaborative Research on Empowerment and Wellbeing Team (CREW, University of Queensland) and the Empowerment Research Program James Cook University with funds from the NHMRC and the CRC for Aboriginal Health.
