Hanuman Chalisa

The Hanuman Chalisa is a Hindu devotional hymn (stotra) addressed to Hanuman.

Lord Hanuman is called as the “Chiranjeevi” (the Immortal). Hanuman is called Anjaniputra as he was born from the womb of Anjana, who was an Apsara with the name Punjikasthala and was born as a Vanara by the curse of Agastya. Hanuman Chalisa can be recited by any individual, irrespective of religion, for termination of evil spirits and negative energies. Hunaman Chalisa tells us dedication of Hanuman towards Lord Ram. Expressing his inability to arrange a meeting with Shri Ram, the spirit gave him the ticket to meet Hanuman. Yes, he told how Tulsidas can meet and approach Hanuman, the biggest Bhakt of Shri Ram. The devotion of Lord Hanuman to Sri ram is unparalleled. After Lord Ram succeeded in the battle against Ravan, on return to Ayodhya, the Lord bestowed gifts to everyone to celebrate the victory.However, he offered himself as a gift to Hanumanji.
