À propos de Hold High The Torch

The official app to support the fallen on the 11th November 2017

Hold High The Torch is a free app which invites the public to take part in a global event on 11th November 2017 to remember those who died in the two world wars. Sharing photos with friends through social media will create a wave of light moving across the world, remembering the fallen.

For 100 years, the eternal flame has been a defining image for the CWGC. It forms part of our seal and symbolises our commitment to remembering those who died in two world wars, today, tomorrow and forever.

Help us build on the legacy:

- Take selfies and group shots, add torch stickers and share them on social media to spread a wave of remembrance across the world.

- Join our Supporters Scheme and help us engage new generations in the importance of remembrance.

- Donate to our new charity, CWGF.

- Sign up to our mailing list.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) was established in May 1917.

The CWGC ensures that men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died during the two world wars will always be honoured and remembered.

Today, we pay tribute to 1.7 million men and women who gave their lives by caring for their graves and memorials at 23,000 locations in more than 150 countries.
