INTER POLYTECHNIC

SPORTS AND GAMES MEET (IPSGM)

Department of Technical Education has sufficiently recognized and understood the importance and the necessity of sports and games in students’ life.

Physical Education (Sports and Games) is an Integral part of Total Education Process. The development of physically, mentally, emotionally and socially fit citizen can be successful and happy in real life. Keeping this as background the department endeavors to develop physical activities. The games and sports provide ample opportunities to develop physical health, positive personality, ethical, moral and social values. Inter Polytechnic Sports and Games Meet (IPSGM), a State Level Event is organised by department of Technical Education every year in December.

Aims and Objectives

A) To build up the character of young athletics of the polytechnics of the state.

B) To provide opportunity for leadership of sportsmanship among the students.

C) To inculcate and encourage the true spirit of leadership of sportsmanship among the students.

D) To cater the needs of young sportsmen by providing opportunity to participate in all sports and games.

E) To impart training and make the students physically fit and socially alert to safe guard the interests of the country in times of National Emergency.
