Karelia Alpine Lodge is located on the higher grounds in Falls Creek and it is only the Austrian-Swiss Chalet in Falls Creek Karelia Alpine Lodge can accommodate 45 guests in well appointed rooms, with full en-suite facilities, T.V.sets, FREE in house movies(4 DVD channels) radio-cassette deck player, alarm clock, mini bars and some rooms with balcony . The living area and guests room facilities are upgraded on a year to year basis.

The house guests restaurant and accommodation rooms are set in the old traditional Romantic Tyrolian Alpine Style.

The lodge is located on the highest grounds in an absolute ideal place for Ski-in and Ski-out position and close to "Falls Express" quad chair lift, that is the closest chair lift to the Ski school. From the Wombat Ramble Home Trail and also the Aquaduct Home Trail, so it is easy to ski to the chair lift and also to ski back to the lodge front door.

We are open 12 months of the year.

Summer activities offered in Falls Creek include: bush walks (walking and hiking), horse riding, mountain bike riding, road cycling, trout fishing, sailing.

We also have several events in summer that include: Dragon boat race, triathlon, 3 peaks endurance cycling (240km in a day), mile high tennis tournament, Easter egg hunts.

Winter activities in Falls Creek include: snow skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snowshoe walks,snow play, skidoo rides, extreme skiing on Mt. McKay and cross country skiing!

JB's Restaurant - famous for German and Czech -Bohemian nights, Austrian- Czech authentic cuisine, Australia cuisine, The only bar in Falls Creek offering Czech famous beer - Budvar and Pilsner and Jerry very popular gluhwein - the best in Falls Creek.

Jerry's Stall is now located in the front of Karelia Lodge offering typical European mountain food - goulash soup, goulash pies, gluhwein, baked doughnuts, Czech pastry and cookies and real Italian hot chocolate.
