The free app Locata gives you the ability to share your location with family, friends, co-workers and others persons from contact list. The app uses for sharing coordinates short text messages (SMS), so its functionality doesn't depend of internet access.
It's kind of radar or locator, with which you can quickly find out where there are your children, parents or friends.
All that you need is enable Google location services on your smartphone (they gets data from GPS satellites, cellular networks or wi-fi networks). After this operation, you can share your location, request and receive coordinates from other persons, see received locations on the map.

Automatic response to the request will be performed, even if incoming message sounds are turned off.
In all other cases, you will be notified of an incoming request and can reply manually, sending your coordinates by a single tap.
The app is useful in all cases when other messaging services are not available (for example, if there is no mobile internet). The Locata app will allow you to share your location from anywhere, the app requires only GPS satellites and cellular provider connectivity. It's good when you are planning a travel or outdoor activities.
The Locata app has a very simple interface and allows you to make all actions quickly and with minimal effort.
