Mother of the World was inspired by a poem that is in my book of poetry “Daughter of the Diaspora Freedom from Within which was published in 2010. The poem was inspired from mothers around the world who are trying to do the best jobs for their children in spite of any adversity or financial, spiritual, or social hardships that may come along on the journey of motherhood.

Mother of the World is an empowerment blog for women around the world, specifically those living in United States, Africa, Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean. Also, I am a contributing writer for Empress Chronicle and Queendom Magazine. I contribute various articles on motherhood, parenting, child rearing, marriage and family, breastfeeding and healthy ways to nurture yourself as a new or experienced mother.

I published have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a Masters in Family Studies with a Minor in African Studies. I am a wife, mother, poet, entrepreneur, author, writer, and Mommy/Lifestyle Blogger. I hope that this blog will remind mothers of life before motherhood as well, and we can discuss issues that are on our minds as we try to balance career, family, and remaining our authentic selves.
