MudHitter is a mobile platform for walk and cycle operators to track customers

Many walking and cycling tour operators have a problem with customers not arriving at the designated pick up points on time or just simply getting lost. This creates an enormous amount of wasted effort, waiting around , impacting schedules and disappointed customers.

Customers are perceived to have a problem knowing what’s on the route and when to get a wiggle on so they are not late

Solution - Mud Hitter!

The system provides a branded interactive app to be used by the customer in conjunction with the website allowing the business to track customer movements, provide helpful tools and an advertising solution for their partners.

It is not to a speed or distance app like most trail applications, though some sense of reward and compete may be included at a later stage. Mud Hitter, is more of a navigation and journey tool to enhance the consumer experience and help tour operators run a more efficient business

Customer

The customer may be a bored tourist looking for a gentle adventure through to a seasoned adventurer seeking a fresh challenge. The app will reduce issues with navigation by providing a map tool that clearly defines the route and places to stop along the way, allowing customers to feel comfortable making their own way along the trail. The addition of advertising in App will enable business partners to advertise their cool products and services en route direct to the customer.

Solution/Overview:

Mud Hitter is a mobile application in support of the customer and a web portal to support the tour operator. The mobile application will focus on a map the centre point of which will be the location of the user. A user will be able to select the trail they wish to pursue from the application, track their progress and be shown potential places to stop along their way. Supplementary tools and features will be available to the user, a profile detailing some basic information (first stage), a contact us for future bookings / information, shuttle alarm times and locations shown on the map.

The supporting web portal will be used to track all current customers on the trails, manage, add and remove advertising show in the application. Editable pick up and drop off locations for different trails covering both location and the time.
