Nidas

Nidas est un séminaire en ligne menée par NISH et financé (Malayalam Nidas) par SJD.

NIDAS is a webinar conducted by National Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH) and funded (Malayalam NIDAS) by Directorate of Social Justice, Government of Kerala (SJD). The participants from Kerala are reached through SJD partnership. This two and a half -hour online live seminar hosted at NISH is conducted on every third Saturday. Currently this is simultaneously presented at all the District Child Protection Units (DCPU) offices for audiences present there via internet. Public also register and receive link to participate from home.

NISH along with the Directorate of Social Justice commenced the ‘first of its kind’ NISH Online Interactive Disability Awareness Seminar (NIDAS) on October 30, 2015. NIDAS is simultaneously watched by audiences at District Child Protection Units in Kerala and NISH.

Its aim is to reach out across the state (in near future across the globe) to larger numbers of parents and caregivers, who are not aware of the implications of disability.

NIDAS will conduct a series of sessions on various aspects of disabilities found commonly in children and adults, sessions will include topics related to Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Locomotor Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delays, Neuro-motor disorders, Mental Illness, Early Detection, Intervention, Syndromes and other disorders.

NIDAS will be conducted on the third Saturday of every month, from 10.30 am to 1 pm. If 3rd Saturday is a holiday, NIDAS will be conducted on the subsequent working day. Total duration of the webinar is 2.30 hours, one hour for presentation/talk followed by an hour of discussion. As of now the program is being conducted in Malayalam.
