Clinic Nua Sakala is a Pediatric Clinic at Keonjhar run by Dr. Mahesh Prasad Mohanta since 2006.

The Clinic focuses mainly on the better health of children, newborns, and adolescents. Dr. Mahesh Prasad Mohanta passed MD Pediatrics from SCB Medical College, Cuttack in 1998. After which he joined the Odisha state government health department for 2 years and served in the rural area.

Then he worked in NTPC Hospital at Kaniha for 5 years. Before starting the Clinic Nua Sakala at Keonjhar, his native place, he went to the UK for a short training. He is a life member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and Indian Medical Association. He is also a member of the National Neonatology Forum, Breast Feeding Promotion Network of India, and Adolescent Health Academy, through which he regularly refresh his knowledge and skill base.

He aims for the rational management of children’s diseases. He tries to address the queries and concerns raised by the parents. He believes in holistic medicine. He believes to solve social, psychological, and family issues, which have a significant bearing on the well-being of the children.

A staunch believer in Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months and balanced nutrition thereafter has a dedicated service for breastfeeding and nutrition management. The clinic has a pharmacy and laboratory on the same campus as well as a small hospital for Indoor management.

The Clinic operates in the day time and remains closed at night between 8 pm and 8 am.
