Operation PopSmoke is designed to be a peer to peer tool that can be used to provide communication and support to individuals in suicide prevention by integrating technology and proven military tactics.

KEY FEATURES

Single button operation, GPS locator (Coming soon) and Cognitive Function Restoration techniques. Users have the ability to build your own squad, send alerts and send & receive messages. Users are able to use the following functions.

Radio Check: Button that will send out an alert to everyone in the squad the user has created reminding them to check - in. The alert message may be customized by the squad leader.

White Smoke: This feature alerts other members of the squad that the user is mildly struggling with an issue. The members of the squad will have 30 minutes to respond to the member who “Popped Smoke”. Users will have the option to send a message up to 150 characters.

Red Smoke: Red Smoke feature is designed to alert the members of the squad that the user is in crisis and needs immediate assistance. The members of the squad will have 5 minutes to respond to the emergency alert.

Resources: Suicide hotline numbers and grounding techniques show on screen.

*Messages between users will be automatically deleted in 30 days

This application puts the power to save lives in the hands of the people closest to the veterans who use it. Just like the Heimlich Maneuver, CPR and AED this is one of the first tools used for mental health that has the ability to become standard practice for preventing premature death or self-harm.
