to fall asleep

tucked in bed with his Teddy

he still

wasn't ready

because he couldn't cover his feet

The problem

with toes that are naked and exposed is

-the ghosts in the closet

-the monsters under the bed

-the crawlies in the corners

-that climb on the walls and land on your head

they think your toes are a pastry

delicious and tasty

So if you don't want to wake

to a fright

feeling your feet eaten

like cake

in the night

My advise is to have bed sheets

in a large size

to provide adequate cover

tucked in by a father or mother
