2013/07/15 - Version 1.1 includes a bug fix. In 1.0, connecting to a port which output extremely long sequences of data would cause the application to run out of memory and crash. The root cause was the use of line oriented buffering. The issue was discovered by testing against networked HP printers, which have a network service that indefinitely outputs '0x00' bytes. As a side effect, the application will only output the first 40 bytes received from any port.
