PrivMetrics (Unreleased)

A Privacy and Security advisory app for Android.

PrivMetrics provides a simple, easy method of determining the privacy and security risks associated with your smartphone. It inspects the apps that you have installed on your phone and then provides you with a privacy assessment in the form of a 5 star rating system, where 1 ranks the lowest in terms of privacy protection.

Where possible, PrivMetrics will make suggestions of alternative, safer apps that have similar functionality to the ones you want.

The PrivMetrics app rating system is based on research conducted at Data61. Overview of the method used to calculate the rating can be found here.

PrivMetrics is available for free. Moreover, none of your personal information is collected by the PrivMetrics app. PrivMetrics does not need any special permission apart from “Internet Access”.
