PROX IoT Horti-tag

Manage trees, shrubs, plants + providing info to visitors using NFC,QR & iBeacon

We have released this application to compliment our cloud PROX IoT Horti-tag garden management system for capturing details of the trees, shrubs and plants that you have in your gardens, arboretums or estates. The application allows you view all the trees, shrubs and any plant you have registered in the system as well as artefacts. You can validate the details and update various aspects such as whether an NFC tag has been added, GPS coordinates, notes. Manage the images you wish to make available to visitors as your main image and gallery images.

Audio is now supported so as well as pictures, details and descriptions you can audio via this application. Useful to tell stories and make your garden and estate accessible to those with impaired sight.

The application can be used to create the physical NFC tag by selecting the relevant tree, shrub or plant and selecting to write to the tag with the correct encoding. It will lock the tag after writing so that it can not be tampered when used in the public domain. We also support the use of iBeacons for sharing information and this application can be used to manage tags for this purpose also. We have created an application which is available on Google Play and the Apple store called HortiBeacon to provide the information managed by this app using the same Garden Management platform.

By default this application creates a dynamic tag that allows for change, but when you will be using an NFC tag in a place where there is no 3G/4G/WiFi you can create a nursery horti-tag or a STATIC horti-tag, which will store the information on the NFC tag and when tapped it will launch this app and display the information. Created for use in the nursery or garden allowing you reuse tags to identify the particular plant beyond the written or printed label.

We have now aded the ability for you to use your own content by attaching a URL to a tag. Ideal for connecting visitors to your social media platforms as an example.

We have included various NFC utilities to this application such as view the contents of a tag, erasing, locking and writing text and they are available even if you do not subscribe to our cloud based system.
