The mobile application was not developed by the United States Government, and as such does not use the Zoom Search Engine, but instead uses a proprietary algorithm created and maintained by Recursive Dynamics, LLC to perform the searches, even while offline and without WiFi!

The app does have the ability to reach some other .mil and .gov sites if you are online, so it's important to remember that when searching keywords and secondary keywords with this app. Certain links and functions from the full government website will not work as intended, due to the size and accessibility of those functions. However, if your device allows the app to access the internet, those resources will typically be accessible to you. You will receive a warning when leaving the FAR application, as the ability to browse the web is otherwise seamlessly integrated into the QuickFAR.
