Radio Maria responds to Jesus’ continual invitation: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15). This is why Radio Maria is not a traditional radio, with journalists and editors producing daily content, but rather gives voice to the Church in its charism of prayer, proclamation, evangelization, and witness. It airs all the charisms that the Holy Spirit arouses in our days, in our local and universal Church.

The Second Vatican Council drew attention to the Church’s evangelizing function by illustrating how:

“Evangelizing is … the grace and vocation proper to the Church, her deepest identity. She exists in order to evangelize.” No people, no language, no person is excluded from this announcement of which each Radio Maria is an instrument in its own country: from one end of the earth to another, wherever you live, you are called to announce a conversion to your listeners and to share in their concerns and joys, especially those experienced by the poorest and most distant. Radio Maria accompanies every person thirsting for God in

their journey.

Radio Maria is a civil association within the Catholic Church. Our radio stations offer an opportunity to pray and work with the Church.
