RideSmart is a fuel efficiency focused Indian attempt to modernize, redefine and streamline city commute and on-road traffic condition.

Ride Smart is based on the idea of collaborative innovation where people and data gathered with the help of local traffic law enforcement agencies will help people plan their city commute effectively and efficiently. Users can report real-time traffic conditions effortlessly.

RideSmart also helps user reduce fuel consumption by giving them driving tips on what gear and speed they should drive in according to the road traffic conditions & vehicle engine characteristics. Users get live update on how much fuel they are saving on their journey along with other relevant data like Green Factor, a measure of their eco-senstive driving style. This feature not only brings discipline in users driving style but can also saves upto 27% of fuel, as suggested by extensive field testings. This feature is primarily useful in regions where manual transmission is heavily used. Countries like India, China, Brazil may find this feature useful.

Dedicated hardware helps gathering Vehicle performance data and helps user maximize their fuel efficiency. RideSmart also acts as an OBD2 diagnostic toolkit.

Additionally, RideSmart is a potential virtual currency generation and exchange platform. Virtual currency generated is proportional to the amount of fuel saved during any journey. RideSmart's in-built wallet stores these e-coins (Virtual currency). Users can later use these coins to fill gas, for trading and various commerce related applications.
