SAS - “Safety and Stories”

SAS - “Safety and Stories” is a free mobile application that can enhance individual safety and allow people to actually use the mobile as a safety device. In other words SAS puts safety in user’s hand, pocket and bags. This app can be used in various circumstances, and will notify your family and friends with your current location. They can follow up with you then. “Stories” section of the app is considered as social media of safety. Here you can read and write stories, real life incidents, humorous content, etc. You may also find recent news happening in and around Bangkok, Thailand.

There are quite a few amazing features in the app. One of them is called “Milestone”, where you can set points on your route map to notify your guardians that you are on right and safe track. Another exciting feature is “Timer”, where one can set in-app stop watch to reach particular destination. “Check in” feature enables you to claim your safety status if any incident occurred in town.

Use SAS to:

- Create discrete contact list as 'Guardian' for the important people in your life.

- Share your location (when in trouble, danger and so on) with who you want, when you want.

- Receive automatic notifications when friends and family needs your help.

- Receive automatic notifications when a stranger (any SAS user) within 1 km needs your help.

- When a mishap occurs, 'Check in' to claim that you are safe.

- Set 'Milestone' while travelling so that your friends and family can know when you reach certain points.

- Use 'Timer' as in-app stop watch.

- Receive news about things happening in Thailand.

- Get rewards by writing exciting stories and participating in our events.

Though safety is the main reason why this application was developed but we also want our users to take ‘precautions’. Users can share about risky locations or incidents they personally experienced. There are various other means for users to get such information but it would be very convenient for users if they could get both protection and precaution at the same place.

You can add/delete 'Guardian' at anytime, and also can choose to which guardian you want to share your location, which is perfect for anyone who just needs a little "me" time.

*Reward System. SAS user who wrote/shared the best story (most liked within a specific dates) will receive a reward from us. Any user who helps a stranger (SAS user) within 1 km, will receive points and users can also receive bonus points for attending events organised by SAS.

Stop guessing. If you often find yourself texting "You reached home safe?" or "When you will reach destination?", SAS is the app for you.
