The Siddha Mangala Stotra emphasises the greatness of Sree Paada Sree Vallabha as an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. Sreepaada vallabha born at Pithapur in Andhra Pradesh, in the 13th century. Sree Baapanaarya, the grandfather of Sreepaada Vallabha had seen Datta in Sreepaada vallabha.He praised Lord Dattatreya in the form of ‘Siddha Managala Stotra’.

There is a specific procedure for parayana of this stotra, for fulfilling a particular wish. This stotra has to be recited for 40 days, daily in the morning after holy bath, one has to Recite this stotra for 11 times and offer any fruit as naivedyam.On 40 th day one has do annadana (Donation of food) either at home or at temples or ashrams etc. Thursdays /Tuesdays are best days to start. The day Chitta nakshtram falls in a month is very auspicious for starting the parayana, as Sri Padavallabha is born on this nakshtram. The best prasadam to offer him anytime is Wheat rava halwa. It is his favourite. The most auspicious day is when chitta nakshtram falls on a Tuesday. The result of this stotra is unexplainable. By doing the Paarayana of this stotra, it gives the same result which is equal to performing Anaghaashtami Vratha, feeding one thousand brahmins.

Datta devotees, who are totally involved in prayer, will certainly get their wishes fulfilled, once they finish this parayana. Around the place, where this sthothra is recited, "Siddha Purushas" will be moving around in the "Sookshma Vayu mandala". It will be chanted only by the persons who have Datta’s grace and Lord Datta may give darshan to such devotees. This Divya stothram is introduced to the devotees of the world in the chapter 17 of SriPada SriVallabha Charitamrutam by Sri Namananda Swami to his disciples.
