Kumbh Mela is one of the most sacred Hindu festival that is celebrated in four places in India- namely Nasik, Ujjain, Hawidwar and Allahabad. The celebrations of Kumbh Mela takes place every four years, while Poorna Kumbh Mela is held in every 12 years. The next Khumbh Mela will be held in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh in 2016. Ujjain is located at the bank of Shipra River in the western region of Madhya Pradesh. Saints who attend the pilgrimage take dip and worship the sacred River Shipra.
