សមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរកម្ពុជាមានសេចក្តីសោមនស្សប្រគល់ជូននូវព្រះគម្ពីរបរិសុទ្ធ ច្បាប់កែសម្រួលថ្មី ២០១៦ ដល់បងប្អូនគ្រីស្ទបរិស័ទ។

ព្រះគម្ពីរបរិសុទ្ធត្រូវបានបកប្រែចាប់ពីឆ្នាំ១៩២៣ ដោយក្រុមបេសកជនពីនិកាយអាល្លីយ៉ង់ (C&MA - Christian and Missionary Alliance) និងគ្រូគង្វាលពីក្រុមជំនុំគ្រីស្ទបរិស័ទដំណឹងល្អខ្មែរ ក្រោមការគ្រប់គ្រង និងឧបត្ថម្ភពីសំណាក់សមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរអង់គ្លេស (British & Foreign Bible Society)។

ក្រោយបានបកប្រែចប់រួចរាល់ហើយ ព្រះគម្ពីរបរិសុទ្ធច្បាប់ដំបូងបង្អស់ត្រូវបានបោះពុម្ពដោយសមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរនៅប្រទេសអង់គ្លេសឆ្នាំ ១៩៥៤។ បន្ទាប់មក ការផ្សាយលើកទីពីរដោយមានកំណែបន្តិចបន្តួច ត្រូវបានបោះពុម្ពដោយសមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរនៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៦២។

ព្រះគម្ពីរបរិសុទ្ធមានតួនាទីចម្បងក្នុងការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍របស់ក្រុមជំនុំដំណឹងល្អនៅកម្ពុជា ហើយក៏បាននាំព្រះពរដល់គ្រីស្ទបរិស័ទជាច្រើននាក់ តាំងពីដើមរហូតមកដល់សព្វថ្ងៃនេះ។ ប៉ុន្តែ យើងដឹងថា ភាសានីមួយៗតែងតែមានការវិវឌ្ឍន៍ជានិច្ច។ ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំក្រុមជំនុំខ្មែរ បានធ្វើសំណើសូមសមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរកម្ពុជា ឲ្យរៀបចំកែសម្រួលខ្លះៗទៅលើច្បាប់ដែលបានបោះពុម្ពផ្សាយនៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៥៤ ដើម្បីឲ្យប្រជាជនបច្ចុប្បន្នងាយយល់។

នៅឆ្នាំ ២០១០ សមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរកម្ពុជាបានទទួលការអនុញ្ញាតកែសម្រួលជាផ្លូវការពីសំណាក់សមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរសកល និងសមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរអង់គ្លេស ដែលជាម្ចាស់កម្មសិទ្ធិបញ្ញារបស់ព្រះគម្ពីរបរិសុទ្ធ ១៩៥៤។ ការកែសម្រួលត្រូវបានចំណាយពេលប្រាំមួយឆ្នាំ ដោយគណៈកម្មាការបកប្រែ (លោកគ្រូគង្វាល ម៉ៅ អាន និងលោកគ្រូគង្វាល ទិត ចាន់ធន) រួមទាំងក្រុមការងារ

របស់សមាគមព្រះគម្ពីរកម្ពុជា រហូតដល់បានសម្រេចសមិទ្ធផល និងត្រូវបានបោះពុម្ពនៅឆ្នាំ ២០១៦ នេះ។

The Bible Society in Cambodia is pleased to present the Revised Khmer Old Version Bible 2016 to our Christian fellowship.

The Khmer Old Version Bible translation was started in 1923 by missionaries in the C&MA (Christian and Missionary Alliance) and pastors from the Cambodian Evangelical Church under the supervision and support of the British & Foreign Bible Society.

After the translation finished, it was published in 1954 by the British and Foreign Bible Society. Then, a second edition with slight revisions was published in 1962 by the Bible Society.

The Khmer Old Version Bible continues to have a huge role in developing evangelical churches in Cambodia. It has continued to be a blessing on many Christian ever since it was first published until today. But we realized that language changes from generation to generation. For this reason, the Cambodian church leaders proposed to the Bible Society that a team be set up to revise the Khmer Old Version Bible to help this generation understand it.

In 2010, the Bible Society in Cambodia got legal permission from the United Bible Societies and the British & Foreign Bible Society, the intellectual property owners of the Khmer Old Version Bible 1954, to revise it. The revision took five years to complete by the translation committee (Pastor Mao Ann and Pastor Tith Chanthoan) and the Bible Society in Cambodia staff. It was published in 2016.
